The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan expressed its happiness over the successful end of the second round of the Turkish presidential election and the victory of Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the president of that country, and wishes for more victories for the Turkish nation and government.
The enthusiastic participation in the two rounds of elections and the low level of participation of the people of that country in both elections is proof of the victory of democracy and the development of the friendly and brotherly country of the Republic of Turkey.
The people of Afghanistan and Turkey have always shared each other’s joys and sorrows in the history of more than a century, and the relations between the two countries have been based on national interests.
The main demand of the Afghan people is the rule of an elected democratic system, and without such a system, the Afghan crisis will never be solved, and we expect the Turkish government to support the main demands of the Afghan people for the return of democracy in that country.
The National Resistance Council expects that the new government of Turkey under the leadership of Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, understanding the unfavorable situation caused by the repressive rule of the Taliban in Afghanistan, which has caused the migration of a large number of our people to different countries, including Turkey, will give the refugees the opportunity to continue attending. Afghanistan until the situation in our country improves, and make the memory of hospitality and brotherhood of the people of both lands last as always.
