The National Council of Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan expresses its condolences to all the Muslims of the world, especially to the faithful and Muslim people of Afghanistan, on the arrival of the 10th of Muharram and the days of mourning for the martyrs of Hossein Ibn Ali (AS) and his faithful companions. With courage and selflessness, Imam Hossein chose the glorious path of truth and justice over falsehood and oppression and created the most eternal uprising, which is indeed the fight against oppression and standing for justice and the reformation of the Islamic Ummah from deviation. His faithfulness accepted martyrdom to convey the message of humanity, confronting oppression and tyranny and defending moral principles to all free people throughout history.
The bitter and historical event of Ashura took place on the 10th of Muharram in the year 61 AH in Karbala, Iraq, and Imam Hussain (R.A.) along with 72 of his companions was martyred by the forces of Yazid under the command of Obaidullah Ibn Ziyad in an unequal and cruel war. Imam Hussain rose with the aim of keeping the values of Islam alive, and this valuable uprising has been the model of the most important political and social revolutions in human history.

The mercenary group of the Taliban has cast a shadow over the land of Afghanistan with complete black thinking since its domination, and is still beating the drum of monopoly and tyranny. While obeying the wishes and respecting the beliefs of the citizens is an undeniable principle in human societies, unfortunately, this group of usurpers and professional violence with terrorist actions has not obeyed any of the demands and wishes of the Afghan people. Therefore, preventing and creating violence against the holding of religious and national occasions by the Taliban is in clear contradiction with human, Islamic and national unity values in the country. Mourning for Imam Hussain is a pleasant and human tradition that arouses the emotions of every human being. But unfortunately, the prevailing situation in the country and the inhumane and un-Islamic behavior of the Taliban group and the use of coercion and whip against the Hosseini mourners show that this group is in conflict with our people and national values.
The National Council of Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan once again expressed its condolences to the bereaved people of Afghanistan on Ashura Day and honored the memory of the martyrs of the path of independence and freedom of our dear country, Afghanistan, and emphasizes that this council will stand against any kind of oppression, oppression, injustice and discrimination. It is obvious that the Taliban terrorist group, which has no religious or legal basis, has stood up and will continue its rightful struggle until the legitimate demands of the Afghan people are met, which is the establishment of a government based on the collective will of the Afghan people.
