Unfortunately, the local forces related to the Taliban group in Khas district of Uruzgan province have systematically killed the Shia and Hazara people of this region in the last two years.
In the latest incident on Tuesday, 28th of Sanblah 1402, two people named Haji Hassan and Ali Khan, who were father and son, were brutally martyred and beheaded in Tangi Mami a related area of Khas district of Uruzgan province. Before that, on the 21st of Sanbile 1402, a person named Sayed Amir Alawi was martyred suspiciously in the in that area. In this way, the martyrs of this region have reached seventeen people and in addition, local armed people with the support of the Taliban have set fire to farms, houses and people’s property, cut down trees and looted people’s property, but so far no measures have been taken to prevent these incidents. Inhumanity and serial crimes have been committed by the Taliban group otherwise, no one has been arrested by the group on suspicion of being involved in these events.
Meanwhile, the local people and local sources have confirmed that two of the commanders of this group, who are involved in oppressing people in Panjshir and Andrabah, have committed such tragedies.
The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan, while expressing its condolences to the survivors of the recent martyrs of Uruzgan province, strongly condemns the crimes committed with the support of the Taliban in this area. It also asks the international institutions, especially the United Nations and the Office of the United Nations Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), to take action as soon as possible to prevent similar incidents and to start serious investigations into past incidents and share the results with the Afghan people.
