The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan strongly condemns the terrorist attack at the Imam Zaman Mosque in Andisha Township of Guzara District, Herat province, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of worshippers. We pray for paradise for the martyrs of this tragic incident, a speedy and complete recovery for the wounded, and patience and fortitude for the aggrieved families of the victims.
Terrorism is the greatest threat to the security of the region and the world, and has always claimed innocent civilian victims. Without a doubt, Afghanistan and its oppressed people are among the greatest victims of terrorist acts and intimidation.
After the transfer of power to the Taliban group, Afghanistan has become more vulnerable than ever before and has been adversely affected in broad areas including security, human rights, women’s rights, religious rights, and the economy. The Taliban group has not only failed to improve the prevailing situation in the country but has also turned Afghanistan into a safe haven for regional and global terrorism. From this perspective, curbing terrorism is of paramount importance, and international cooperation and support for popular movements to prevent the growth of terrorism and its elimination will be helpful.
Our belief is that these attacks are carried out by terrorist groups affiliated with and supported by the Taliban, who have sanctuaries and training grounds in Afghan territory.
The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan once again prays for the forgiveness of the martyrs of the Imam Zaman Mosque incident, a speedy recovery for the wounded, and patience and perseverance for the bereaved families of the victims.
