General-Razeq

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of General Abdul Raziq Achakzai, the former police commander of Kandahar, a freedom hero, and one of the influential figures of the country. On this occasion, the High Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan expresses its condolences, honors the soul of this martyr, and commemorates his memory.

General Abdul Raziq was a well-known political and military figure in the country who fought sincerely for many years in defense of the homeland and the people. He had a clear and firm stance against the Taliban group and its ideology, never reconciling with them. As a result, no effort was spared to eliminate him.

General Raziq was a unique individual in struggle and resistance—brave, steadfast, fearless, and a defender of national and patriotic values. He fought tenaciously against the enemies of the Afghan people and never backed down. Within his domain, he had weakened the Taliban to such an extent that all efforts were focused on removing this barrier from their path.

General Raziq had, and still has, a strong connection with the people of Afghanistan. His popularity among different ethnic groups in the country stems from his actions and achievements for Afghanistan and its people.

On the sixth anniversary of General Abdul Raziq’s martyrdom, the High Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan commemorates him and all the martyrs of Jihad, resistance, the era of democracy, and the past three years, praying for their souls’ peace and for their names to remain eternal.
