The Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan, with deep sorrow and profound regret, considers the martyrdom of the brave and devoted commander, General Akramuddin Saree, and Commander Amin Almas to be a great loss for the people of Afghanistan and for the front of justice-seeking and the pursuit of truth.
Martyr General Akramuddin Saree was one of the country’s prominent and committed military figures who devoted his entire life, with sincerity, to defending the honor, independence, security, and dignity of the people of Afghanistan, and ultimately, on this same honorable path, sacrificed his life for lofty national and human ideals.
The Supreme Council of Resistance warns that the continuation of targeted and cross-border attacks seriously undermines human and political security at the regional level and increasingly endangers the lives of officials, operatives, and political and military figures affiliated with the Republican era who are currently living outside the country. Direct responsibility for the consequences arising from this dangerous trend rests with the designers, commanders, and supporters of this violence-driven policy.
Emphasizing the available evidence and indications, the Supreme Council of Resistance holds the despotic Taliban group politically and morally responsible for these targeted assassinations and considers this act a continuation of the policy of physically eliminating opponents beyond the borders of Afghanistan. The Council calls on the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to act with full seriousness to identify the perpetrators and those who ordered this crime, to subject them to judicial and legal prosecution, and to prevent the territory of that country from becoming a ground for terrorist acts and political score-settling.
While condemning these criminal actions, the Supreme Council of National Resistance extends its condolences on the martyrdom of these two brave commanders to their respected families, comrades, companions, and all the honorable people of Afghanistan, and prays to Almighty God for the elevation of ranks of these two noble martyrs, and for patience and great reward for their survivors.
May their memory and names remain honored, and may their path be followed by many.
