Recent developments and the clear military aggression of the United States and Israel against the neighboring and brotherly country, the Islamic Republic of Iran, have caused deep concern among the people of Afghanistan about further instability in the region. The National Solidarity movements condemn this military attack and the targeting of civilians including women, men, and children as well as public infrastructure and the creation of fear and terror, which are contrary to the principles of international law. They emphasize that the continuation of such an approach could expand the existing crisis and catastrophe and lead to irreparable consequences for regional and global security and stability.
Under such critical circumstances, it is essential that all parties refrain from escalating the conflict and exercise restraint. Preventing the expansion of the crisis, respecting the principles of international law, and paying attention to the humanitarian consequences of any conflict must be prioritized.
The National Solidarity political movements also express their deep sympathy with the friendly and peace-seeking countries of the region including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, and Lebanon which have been unintentionally affected by this crisis. The restraint shown by these countries at this sensitive moment reflects their wisdom, responsibility, and commitment to regional and global peace and stability.
Regional countries, international organizations, and the global community are expected to play an active and responsible role in reducing tensions and preventing the expansion of conflicts. Mediation, diplomatic efforts, and political initiatives can help create the appropriate environment for halting hostilities and establishing a permanent ceasefire.
We emphasize that a sustainable solution to crises can only be achieved through dialogue, engagement, and negotiation. We call on all parties to use diplomatic and political tools to create conditions for constructive dialogue and to work toward preserving peace and stability in the region.
