The received reports indicate that the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is going to hand over the Afghan embassy in that country to the representative of the Taliban group.
The Islamic Republic of Iran as a neighboring country, with the same religion, same language and same culture, has hosted millions of Afghan immigrants in the past two decades, and in the past two decades, they have made many efforts to govern and provide assistance to our people, which is worthy It is praise and gratitude.
Handing over the Afghan embassy in Tehran to a representative of a group whose rule over Afghanistan is illegitimate is against diplomatic custom and against Afghanistan’s national interests.
With the belief that the Islamic Republic of Iran respects the will of the people and the national interests of Afghanistan, the National Resistance Council expects that the Iranian government will reconsider in this regard and continue the affairs of the Afghan embassy in that country with the previous structure in order to support the provision of reliable services. And to protect and support the Afghan immigrants living in that country.
The National Council of Resistance demands from other countries where the political representation of Afghanistan is active that, in accordance with the diplomatic principles, they refrain from issuing Agreement and accepting the representatives of the Taliban group. With this approach, the demands for the rights of the Afghan people and democratic national political currents will be respected.
