Soria and Taliban

Regrettably, the Middle East crisis is gradually becoming more complex, deepening as time passes. In addition to the intensifying genocide in Palestine and Lebanon, killings and bloodshed have now begun in Syria. These events bring nothing but the destruction of this country’s cities and the expansion of murder and plunder. Unfortunately, in recent days, reports have emerged regarding the presence of terrorist forces linked to the Taliban in this proxy war, raising further concerns among the people of Afghanistan.

The Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan has repeatedly warned about the Taliban’s deep connections with terrorist groups, the expansion of terrorism from Afghan territory under Taliban rule, and the growth of extremist factions. The recent events and the raising of the Taliban flag in Syria are clear indications that the concerns expressed by the Supreme Council were legitimate.

The Supreme Council strongly opposes any instrumental use of Afghan citizens in proxy wars. Once again, it issues a serious warning: the Taliban are not only facilitating the growth of terrorist groups in Afghanistan but are also training these groups and sending them to various conflict-ridden regions of the world. Therefore, all countries involved in Afghanistan’s affairs and its neighbors must abandon their unilateral and dangerous engagements with the Taliban. Instead, they should work together to establish a legitimate system based on the will of the Afghan people, freeing Afghanistan from tyranny, terrorism, and extremism.

Undoubtedly, handing Afghanistan over to the Taliban was part of an international conspiracy. The Taliban’s illegitimate and usurping dominance over Afghanistan has emboldened many terrorist groups in the region and beyond, inspiring hopes for establishing autocratic regimes and seizing control of other territories. The Taliban’s close ties with other terrorist organizations and their deployment to participate in international conflicts have provided an unprecedented environment for the growth of extremist and terrorist groups.

Unfortunately, Afghanistan has now become a hub for terrorism, with the export of terrorism beyond Afghanistan’s borders already underway.
