The Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan welcomes the membership of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan, under the leadership of the esteemed political figure Dr. Mohammad Arif Shah Jahan. It regards this as an effective step toward unity, solidarity, the realization of national aspirations, progress, freedom, sustainable development, and the promotion of the noble values of the people in our beloved country, Afghanistan.
The Supreme Council of National Resistance firmly believes that unity and alignment among political and public organizations and movements are the key to overcoming the current challenges and a solid foundation for achieving social justice. This blessed and auspicious decision was made after extensive consultations, based on shared principles, a commitment to national interests, and a historic responsibility toward society and the future of the country.
After the collapse of the republic and the transfer of power to the Taliban, a large group of leaders of the jihad and resistance of the Afghan people, public organizations, intellectuals, suffering and fighting women, and aware youth of the country, with a deep understanding of the dire current situation and a sense of responsibility, took a deliberate initiative. With the aim of combating the oppressive dominance, prejudice, supremacy, and ethnic, regional, and sectarian conflicts of the regressive Taliban group, and to strengthen solidarity, cohesion, and social justice, restore dignity, and achieve democracy in the country, they established the Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan. This council continues its activities seriously and persistently, and with the help of Almighty God, this grand umbrella is continuously expanding.
The Supreme Council of National Resistance once again warmly welcomes the membership of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan in this council. It also invites other political parties, organizations, and public groups to unite under a single umbrella for coordinated and joint efforts against the Taliban group and to rescue the country from its current state.
