As the 10th of Muharram approaches, marking the anniversary of the great epic of Ashura and the martyrdom of the Chief of Martyrs, Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his loyal companions, the Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the resilient and suffering people of Afghanistan and all Muslims around the world on this sorrowful yet inspiring day.

Ashura is the day when truth stood against falsehood and blood triumphed over the sword. The uprising of Imam Hussain (A.S.) teaches us that we must not remain silent in the face of oppression and tyranny, and that defending human dignity and divine values may require the ultimate sacrifice.

Unfortunately, the people of Afghanistan still suffer from insecurity, poverty, forced migration, and widespread economic and social hardships. The current state of Afghanistan is a reminder that the message of Ashura is not merely a historical memory but a living model of resistance against injustice and support for the oppressed in all times and places. Today, more than ever, we need a spirit of unity, empathy, and steadfastness on the path of justice and truth.

The Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan calls upon all Muslims, international institutions, and Islamic countries to stand with the people of Afghanistan and to make sincere and responsible efforts to end the ongoing crises, ensure fundamental human rights, and establish lasting peace and security.

We hope that by embracing the lessons of Ashura, the Islamic world will move toward true unity and brotherhood, and that beloved Afghanistan will be freed from oppression and violence, entering an era of justice, peace, and prosperity for our brave people.
