The Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan, with deep sorrow and regret, extends its condolences on the passing of the esteemed Professor Abdul Salam Azimi, former Chief Justice and Head of the Supreme Court, to his respected family, friends, students, and the country’s academic community.
Undoubtedly, he was one of the distinguished figures of knowledge and culture who devoted his entire life to the pursuit of learning, the dignity, and the advancement of society. The late Professor Azimi, throughout his life—whether in his role as a professor and President of Kabul University, or as an advisor to the Presidency and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court—served the people and the country with sincere dedication and commitment.
The loss of such an enlightened, ethical, and devoted scholar is a great tragedy for the fields of knowledge and culture. The Supreme Council of National Resistance prays to Almighty God to grant the late departed His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to bestow patience and great reward upon his survivors.
May his soul rest in peace and his memory remain honored.
