The Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan strongly condemns the terrorist attack on the “Jaffer Express” passenger train in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in which several civilians lost their lives.

Terrorism is a deadly disease that humanity, especially in the last century, has faced and paid a heavy price for.

For nearly half a decade, Afghanistan has been a victim of the terrorist activities of the extremist Taliban group. During this period, numerous civilians—including women, children, elders, members of the country’s media community, scholars, national figures, elites, and university professionals—have been assassinated by blind terrorist forces and Taliban suicide attacks.

In our view, terrorism is a sinister phenomenon that threatens the security and well-being of citizens in various countries. Its eradication is the responsibility of the international community, which requires urgent coordination at different levels and collective global and regional action—free from temporary approaches and selective responses.

We believe that using terrorism as a tool serves no country’s interests. The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan has repeatedly warned in this regard and has emphasized that to address this grave phenomenon, the international community and regional countries must adopt a clear policy, ensure necessary coordination, and take appropriate and effective measures.

With Afghanistan having been handed over to the extremist Taliban group as a result of an ambiguous international and regional conspiracy, unfortunately, terrorism and the operational freedom of regional and international terrorist groups in our country are expanding. This poses a serious threat to the safety and security of the Afghan people and the stability of regional countries. Addressing this issue is an urgent necessity for regional nations and Afghanistan’s political community.

The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan expresses its deep condolences to the families of the victims of this terrorist attack and to the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
