The occurrence of an earthquake in the southern provinces of our friend and brother country, the Republic of Türkiye, and parts of Syria, which caused heavy human and financial losses, has deeply affected us.
As a result of this incident that happened last night around the heroic cities of Marash and about ten other cities in the south of Turkey and some parts of Syria, more than a thousand people have lost their lives and thousands more have been injured or killed. They are stuck under the rubble. In addition, the damages left by this natural event are very heavy and saddening.
The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan, while being deeply affected by this incident, has expressed its deep sympathy with the government and people of the friendly country, brother and co-culture of the Republic of Turkey. Knowingly, he wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
We are fully confident that with the tact and resourcefulness of the honorable government of the Republic of Turkey and the steadfast determination and alignment of the noble people of that country, with the urgent handling of international aid and aid institutions, the necessary care will be taken for the victims.
Once again, the National Resistance Council has expressed its sorrow with the government and the suffering people of Turkey, and considers itself a partner in this great sorrow.
